CRICKETS & DRAGONFLIES: SUNDAY 7th AUGUST 2016
Photo Gallery
You can read a full report of the event in
issue number 50 (August 2016) of our
Skylarks Newsletter. Here on this page, we have presented a very brief 'Photo
Story' of the day.
Participants head off towards the buzzing, chirping, unmown area in front of the Pavilion - and begin to sweep their nets. |

It was judged to be a bit too exposed to the gusty wind in our first location, so Mark, the Park Ranger and our Activity Leader, led us over the North Benfleet Brook into the 'Top'
(East) field, where the children and the adults had rather more success! Specimens caught - and, of course, released after inspection and identification - included Roesel’s Bush Crickets and a Buff Tailed Bumblebee.
Please see Skylarks 50 in the on-line archive for a complete list of the insects found. |
