Diagrammatic Locality MapTo download a copy of the map below as a PDF document please click here.![]() Interactive Locality MapClick on the logo below to be taken to a dynamic scrollable map of the locality, courtesy of Google Maps. If you wish to, you can leave a review of the Wick Country Park, or of our events, on the Google Maps site through the link below. You can also view a slide-show, courtesy of 'Google Earth', of different views of the Park, including some of one of our 'Kite Festivals' taken from the air.![]() Satellite NavigationIMPORTANT: please note that if you are relying on your satellite navigation system to get you there, please set the destination to postcode SS12 9GP, which will take you to a point in Tresco Way, Wickford, close to the roundabout at the Public Entrance to the Park. Left to their own devices, some navigation systems will otherwise direct you to a private farm track, which, though it does cut through the Park, unfortunately, it by-passes the public carpark and leaves you stranded between two locked gates!!!! |
GENERAL DIRECTIONSThe nearest main road to the Country Park is the A132 Basildon to Wickford to South Woodham Ferrers road, which can be accessed from the A127 from the South, the A130 from the North, and the A129 from the East and West.FROM THE SOUTHTake the A132 towards Wickford. Turn right (4th exit) at the roundabout by the BP garage. Continue straight over the next two roundabouts and take the third exit (right) at the next roundabout into Tresco Way. Turn right at the next roundabout into The Wick Country Park.FROM THE NORTHProceed on the A132 into Wickford and at the first roundabout take the first exit (A132) then keep right to avoid a left turn, and at the next roundabout take the first exit into Radwinter Avenue, and then an immediate left into Salcott Crescent. At the next roundabout take the first exit into Mersea Crescent, and at the next roundabout take the second exit into The Wick Country Park.FROM THE WESTProceed on the A129 into Wickford, and go straight at the traffic lights at the end of the High Street and then on to the roundabout. At the roundabout take the third exit into Radwinter Avenue, then as for approaching from the North.FROM THE EASTFollow the A129 into Wickford until you have to turn left onto the A132. Proceed to the roundabout and take the first exit into Radwinter Avenue, then as for approaching from the North.INSIDE THE PARKThe children's play area, together with its dedicated car park and picnic area, is immediately on the left by the entrance from the roundabout. The main park is approximately 200 yards on, at the end of the track. Please park in the car park just before the green barrier, but not blocking it, and then proceed across the farm entrance road and into the Park. You can access / download our map of the Park - by clicking here. |
